What is Pediatric Dentistry?
Pediatric Dentistry (aka Children's Dentistry) is a dental specialty that provides primary and comprehensive oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including attending to any special needs of any child. This intensive additional residency training is usually hospital-based, encompassing a myriad of pediatric patient needs.
Why a Pediatric Dentist?
Pediatric dentists (aka Children’s dentists) are the primary care providers for your child. We have been trained to provide comprehensive oral care for patients from birth through their teens, and even through college! Pediatric dentists have the training and experience to evaluate and treat patients that are medically compromised or with special challenges.
There may be situations where you will need to be referred to one of our colleagues for special services. We work closely with orthodontists, oral surgeons, periodontists, and prosthodontists to ensure your child receives the best comprehensive quality care.
Parents can choose to have their children evaluated and treated by a pediatric dentist just as they choose to have their child treated by a pediatrician. All patients are treated with the same love, care, understanding, and expertise. Our office truly enjoys children, and our satisfaction grows with each child's smile.
